Overcoming Fear and Taking the Leap: My Journey to Building a Dream Business

Overcoming Fear and Taking the Leap: My Journey to Building a Dream Business

Writing my first blog post has been one of the most terrifying yet exhilarating experiences. I’ve always felt this urge to create something of my own that brings me true joy and fulfillment. But let’s be real—it’s not easy. Fear, excitement, and self-doubt have been constant companions. In the past, I’d feel a burst of confidence to just go for it, but by the time I’d finish drafting my post, that doubt would creep back in and my blog would end up staying in my drafts folder. This time, I’m choosing to push through that fear. I keep reminding myself, “If not now, then when?”

I’ve always had this deep sense of “I’m meant to do more, and I will do more.” I like to think that most people have felt this way at some point in their lives. For me, It’s been a long journey of grinding in the corporate world asking myself, “Is this all there is?” and “Why does this feel so unfulfilling?” Finally, after years of putting this off, I’ve accepted that true fulfillment for me would come from building something of my own and being proud of what I create. I’ve always had an entrepreneurial outlook on life. For years, I searched for something I could create, call my own, and share with the people around me, and now, that vision is finally becoming a reality.

Looking back at my childhood, I remember being in fourth grade, selling jewelry to my classmates. I was never someone who wore a lot of jewelry but I understood the sentiment it carried. My parents had several pieces that were scattered across their dressers and tucked away in their closets, collecting dust. One day I had an idea. With all the confidence in the world of my little nine year old self, I told them I could find these pieces a new home by selling them to my classmates. They were fully supportive and surprisingly enough I sold several pieces. I’d tell my classmates how the pieces would make a great birthday or holiday gift for someone they cared about and help them understand the sentimental value they carried.

I’m still amazed at my ability to do that at such a young age and how fearless I was in doing it. What felt small at the time was really my first taste of entrepreneurship: a natural drive to build, create, and contribute. I didn’t fully understand it then, but that early experience showed me the power of turning an idea into something real.

Now, as an adult, I’m ready to reignite that spark and do what brings me joy. If I could do it at nine years old, why not channel that same entrepreneurial spirit into something meaningful today as I launch a brand that speaks to my fellow girl bosses?

I’m so excited to have you all here with me as I bring  my vision to life. Your support means the world to me, and I can’t wait to share every step, challenge, and win along the way. Cheers to overcoming fear and taking the leap!
